Didcot has grown very fast, and a large share of its housing is less than twenty-five years old — Ladygrove, Great Western Park and the continuing development around them. For solar, modern housing is generally good news and occasionally frustrating.
Good news because the electrics are current, the roof structure is known and there is usually somewhere sensible for a battery and a charger. Frustrating because roof planes on modern estate housing are often smaller and more interrupted than they look, and because estate covenants sometimes have a view on external alterations.
