Camberley grew around the Staff College and the Victorian villas built for it, then filled out through the twentieth century. The defining local characteristic for solar is trees — Surrey Heath is genuinely wooded, and a great many properties have mature pine and oak on the plot or next door.

Trees shade my roof for part of the day. What are my options?
Three, broadly. Design the array to avoid the shaded area entirely; use optimisers or microinverters so a shaded panel does not pull down the rest of its string; or, where the shading is severe and permanent, conclude that the roof is not the right site and look at an outbuilding or ground mount. We will tell you which of those your roof needs.
Are microinverters better than a string inverter?
Not universally — they are better in specific circumstances, and heavy partial shading is the clearest one. They cost more, put more electronics on the roof, and give you per-panel monitoring. On an unshaded roof a good string inverter is usually the better value.
