Why we fit Canadian Solar
Canadian Solar have been making panels for more than two decades and supply them in very large volumes worldwide. That scale shows up as dependable, competitively priced modules.
On flat roofs the number of panels is set by frame layout and row spacing rather than by squeezing the last few watts out of each module. A well-priced all-black panel often gives the best return there.
As with every system, we choose the panel after the survey, not before.

Are Canadian Solar panels any good?
They are one of the largest and longest-running panel manufacturers. We fit them where they are the right balance of performance and cost for the property.
Can they go on a flat roof?
Yes. On flat roofs we raise them on frames to a set pitch and space the rows so the front row does not shade the one behind in winter.
What inverter do you pair them with?
It depends on the system. In Tadley they were paired with a 5kW FOX ESS inverter and battery.
